Wild Hearts helps all pets live the good life by providing continuous, comprehensive care to animals with mobility issues and the people that love them. Wild Hearts help families and rescue organizations care for pets needing specialized care, particularly those with mobility issues from paralysis, amputation, neurological or birth defects, and other diagnosed ailments.

Wild Hearts, who is currently sponsoring nearly 170 pets, provides continued and open communication regarding the needs of each pet for the duration of their life. Once Wild Hearts bring a pet into their sponsorship family, they are supported for the life of the pet and beyond.

Ongoing care for pets with mobility impairments can be a costly investment. Animals are often put down or surrendered to high kill shelters. Wild Hearts fills a critical void in the rescue and pet-owning community as both a direct provider and educational resource for families in search of a path forward for their pets with varying abilities.

In providing these essential and scarcely available services, Wild Hearts seeks to:

  • Prevent the needless surrender and euthanization of pets of varying abilities

  • Help organizations rescue overlooked animals from high kill shelters

  • Raise awareness, promote adoption and provide educational resources to assist families with the care of mobility impaired pets

  • Support, encourage and collaborate with other animal welfare organizations

I started Wild Hearts (formerly known as Bialy’s Wellness Foundation) in 2014 to honor Bialy, the first paralyzed pup I had the privilege of taking care of and loving with all my heart. That relationship showed me the reality of little to no resources for caretakers of pets with mobility issues. Bialy is still very much a part of the driving force behind what we do. Her love was fierce and her spirit was wild. Celebrating that spirit is the heart of our mission: financially supporting pets and providing caregivers invaluable resources.
