2021 Year in Review
Friends and Neighbors,
It’s hard to believe that 2021 capped off seven years of service for Boulevard Veterinary!
Here are a few highlights:
Welcomed clients back inside after nearly a year of Curbside Service protocols
Grew our team from 35 to 63 employees
Added 2 veterinarians to the BLVD team
Promoted 5 team members
Added Laser Therapy services at BLVD Vet River North and BLVD Vet Ravenswood
Supported local rescues by discounting $25,000 in services
The need for veterinary services continued to boom throughout 2021. With the support of our community, our clients and our growing team, we were able to accommodate more patients than the year before.
BLVD Vet Logan Square - 711 more visits than 2020
BLVD Vet River North - 1,317 more visits than 2020
BLVD Vet Ravenswood - 3,649 visits in our first year!
In order to meet the growing demand for veterinary care, we added two experienced veterinarians, Dr. Robert Plourde and Dr. Erica Esser, and 26 support staff in 2021. We have felt extremely fortunate to find and hire such talented and compassionate individuals to add to our BLVD Team.
To continue providing quality care and ensure we exemplify our Core Values, we grew our leadership team. We added a BLVD Vet Scheduling Manager, BLVD Vet Ravenswood Technician Supervisor and a BLVD Vet River North Medical Director, Dr. Grace Chen!
In 2021, we rolled out Laser Therapy services!
“Laser Therapy is a non-painful and non-invasive way to relieve a variety of conditions. We use it to manage pain after surgery and to treat inflammatory conditions like painful ears and rears,” Dr. Robert Plourde.
After a very successful institution at BLVD Vet River North, we are happy to say that BLVD Vet Ravenswood now offers Laser Therapy as well.
Here’s what our Rescue Committee accomplished in 2021:
Assisted our Rescue Partners with $25,000 in discounted services and procedures
Donated $3,400 to our Rescue Partners
Raised $6,349 for our Rescue Partners
Added new Rescue Partnerships with The Catcade, Paws & Claws Rescue and K94Keeps Rescue!
Team BLVD Vet Ravenswood with 9 puppies!
It’s been a year of growth and gratitude! We want to express a sincere thank you for all of the support over the last year and are truly humbled to be able to open our doors every day as an independent and locally owned business. We can’t wait to see what 2022 brings!
