Bio
Dr. Brill is originally from Glenview, Illinois where she started volunteering at a local shelter and fell in love with veterinary medicine and the difference it can make in both animal and human lives. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Zoology and a certificate in environmental studies. During her time in Madison, she worked at the UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine as an administrative assistant and was a part of the pre-veterinary club. She also volunteered at PAWS Chicago during her winter breaks. She then worked at a private practice as a veterinary assistant for 2 years. She was fortunate to take two 12 day long veterinary trips through VIDA volunteer to both Guatemala and Nicaragua where she provided spays, neuters, and vaccinations for rural communities. During her time in veterinary school, she also worked as a veterinary assistant at a local animal hospital. She was also involved in several clubs including SIRVS (Student Initiative for Reservation Veterinary Services) and as president of the Small Animal Internal Medicine Club. Her clinical year included several externships in shelter medicine, spay/neuter, dentistry, (one at BLVD!) and others in addition to required university hospital rotations. When Dr. Brill is not at work, she loves to bake! On most days off she will bake anything from cookies, cupcakes, muffins, to cakes, tarts, or brownies and she loves to share! She also enjoys spending time with her ragdoll cat named Miso that she adopted from PAWS Chicago on the day she moved to Minnesota for veterinary school.
