Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED Required
1-2 years of veterinary office or pet care industry experience preferred.
Customer service experience is strongly preferred.
Appointment scheduling, administrative, and clerical experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
(Including, but not limited to)
Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients and coworkers in a professional and productive manner.
Ability to calmly and safely interact with dogs and cats.
Excellent attention to detail and task management.
Able to multitask throughout the day while maintaining an organized workspace.
Ability to efficiently transition between and manage in person, phone and email client communications.
Working knowledge of Google Suite Applications, electronic health record systems, scheduling software.
Proficient at typing and transcribing information accurately and efficiently.
Professional and polite phone etiquette.
Professional, polite, and grammatically correct written communication skills.
Ability to learn and memorize common veterinary medical terminology and routine small animal wellness protocols.
Training consists of being paired with 1 or 2 experienced client care specialists for 4 weeks to get accustomed to the protocols at BLVD Vet and ensure you have the skills you need to succeed. This is not a βsink or swimβ culture - we want to set you up for success with individualized training and attention. Efficiency and hard work are expected but you will be supported by modern, cloud-based practice management software, and an engaged management team.
