Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED Required

  • 1-2 years of veterinary office or pet care industry experience preferred.

  • Customer service experience is strongly preferred.

  • Appointment scheduling, administrative, and clerical experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
(Including, but not limited to)

  • Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients and coworkers in a professional and productive manner.

  • Ability to calmly and safely interact with dogs and cats.

  • Excellent attention to detail and task management.

  • Able to multitask throughout the day while maintaining an organized workspace.

  • Ability to efficiently transition between and manage in person, phone and email client communications.

  • Working knowledge of Google Suite Applications, electronic health record systems, scheduling software.

  • Proficient at typing and transcribing information accurately and efficiently.

  • Professional and polite phone etiquette.

  • Professional, polite, and grammatically correct written communication skills.

  • Ability to learn and memorize common veterinary medical terminology and routine small animal wellness protocols.

Training consists of being paired with 1 or 2 experienced client care specialists for 4 weeks to get accustomed to the protocols at BLVD Vet and ensure you have the skills you need to succeed. This is not a β€œsink or swim” culture - we want to set you up for success with individualized training and attention. Efficiency and hard work are expected but you will be supported by modern, cloud-based practice management software, and an engaged management team.
