Age and Lifestyle Tailored Vaccinations

We tailor our vaccinations based on the lifestyle and age of your pet. Here in Chicago, our pets can be exposed to many potential illnesses. We tailor personalized vaccination treatment plans for each pet that we see. 

For example, if your pet is active and does a lot of hiking, beaching and outdoors activities, we recommend the Lyme vaccine. That’s a tick transmitted disease. Another example is the Canine Influenza vaccine. We offer the Bivalent CIV (Canine Influenza H3N2 and H3N8) as there was a city wide pandemic in 2015 that resulted in overwhelming hospitalizations and deaths due to pneumonia. It’s something we hope never to see again in that magnitude.

Depending on age and if it’s the first time your pet has been vaccinated, we also offer both one year and three year vaccine plans for certain vaccines to reduce unnecessary vaccinations. Additionally, if your pet has been vaccinated before and a health concern prevents their scheduled booster, we can provide titer testing for some immunizations to see if they still have their immunity.

For cats, we specifically use Purevax vaccines which minimizes the chances of side effects in felines and we take into account if your cat is strictly indoor before making our vaccine recommendations.
